© Waterford Valley Sports 2011 NL Selects Win Silver at Bantam Eastern Canadian Waterford Valley had half the players on the team including Jordan Noftal, Michael King, Adam Healey, Ryan Kenny, Jordan Boland and Isaac Davis-Power.  The boys won four straight games on Saturday and Sunday to get to the final against Tavistock Ontario.  The boys battled until the end but lost in the 8th inning in a back and fourth thrilling game.  Along the way NL beat third place Kitchener Ontario 6-3 and first place St. Leonard, Quebec 9-5 to get to the final.  It was a tremendous day for NL softball and we are all very proud! Waterford Valley Wins Bantam Provincial Waterford Valley Bantams defeated CBC 7-0 in 5 innings to win the 2011 Provincial title at Huck Willams Field in Kilbride.  Isaac Davis-Power pitched the win surrendering just one hit and one walk in 5 innings of work.  Waterford Valley went 5-0 in the tourney scoring 40 runs while giving up just 4 earned runs in 29 innings of work.  Jordan Noftal and Isaac Davis-Power combined for an 0.812 ERA.  Jordan Boland led the Valley attack with 8 hits in 14 trips to the plate (0.571 BA) followed by Michael King with 6 hits in 14 at bats (0.429BA).  The entire team combined for 38 hits in 110 at bats for an incredible team batting avergae of 0.345.  It was certainly a team win.  Way to go Valley! Local Peewee Picked Up for Eastern Canadian Tournament Congratulations to Shane Dobbin on being selected by Goulds to travel to Nova Scotia to represent Newfoundland and Labrador at this years Peewee Boys Eastern Canadian Tournament.  Shane came home with a bronze medal.  Congratulations.
